Siemens Industry Automation Division has added Foundation Fieldbus certified communications to the Sitrans LR250 radar level transmitter. Sitrans LR250 comes complete with Enhanced EDD (Electronic Device Description) and is equipped with a Quick Start Wizard for fast commissioning. For commissioning via handheld devices, i.e, 375/475, basic EDD is also supported. Sitrans LR250 is also available with either Hart or Profibus PA communications.
The compact plug-and-play 25 Gigahertz 2-wire device Sitrans LR250 is the easiest to install and quickest to configure radar transmitter available today. The level of liquids or slurries can be accurately and reliably measured in minutes. The transmitter can be used in general applications, but is also suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical and hydrocarbon processing applications, including corrosive environments.
